Security, porters and post room staff have also recently joined them in a 5 day stoppage. The workers are employed by Aramark and ISS and they have received widespread support from the civil servants they work alongside. The workers are demanding the London living wage – £10.55 an hour – and improvements to their working conditions.
Scandalously, scabs are being used to cover their work – which is illegal! Solidarity is urgently needed..
PCS members in Merseyside and London are showing the way to struggle for all workers. Let’s build a working class movement to get rid of the Tories!
Please see the PCS website for details of how to send messages of support and donations to strike funds, and visit picket lines if you can!
